The belt works over coats and blazers, but note that the double-buckle front panel adds about 2 cm of thickness. Over a chunky knit or structured wool coat this is unnoticeable; over a very fitted blazer it may create slight bulk at the front.

PU faux leather holds color well in normal indoor and shaded outdoor conditions. Prolonged direct sunlight exposure over several months can lighten the red slightly, so store it away from windows when not in use.
