Skull Silhouette Construction

Unlike a basic strap harness, this piece uses flat, wide-cut panels rather than thin straps to recreate skull anatomy. The eye sockets are full circular patches approximately 12 cm in diameter, joined at the center by a 1.5 cm bridge strap with a silver D-ring fastener. The tooth bar is a horizontal band with seven rectangular tab cutouts that mimic teeth, sitting roughly 10 cm below the eye panels. Shoulder straps loop over each shoulder and cross the back to hold everything flush against the body.

The harness is designed to layer over fitted garments or be worn directly on skin. Worn over a long-sleeve black bodysuit (as shown), the skull panels sit cleanly against the fabric. For a gothic-casual look, layer it over a sheer mesh top with high-waist trousers; for a festival outfit, pair it over a black crop top and leather-look trousers. The skull motif reads best when the harness contrasts with a pale or tight-fitting underlayer so the cutouts read as negative space rather than shadow.

Sizing and Fit Notes

The shoulder straps and back cross-straps include adjustable buckles, accommodating a chest circumference of approximately 75–95 cm. The eye panels sit at bust level on a standard torso; on a shorter torso (under 160 cm) the tooth bar may ride slightly above the natural waist. The shoulder straps are not padded — wearing this for extended periods without an underlayer may cause strap marks, which is a known trade-off of the panel-harness construction. Not recommended for chest circumferences above 100 cm as the circular panels will lose their round shape.

Faux Leather Material and Care

The panels are made from PU (polyurethane) faux leather bonded to a thin fabric backing. The surface has a matte, skin-like finish rather than a glossy patent look. Hardware is silver-tone zinc alloy D-rings and buckles. To clean, wipe the faux leather panels with a damp cloth and mild soap — do not submerge or machine wash. Allow to air-dry flat. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause the matte PU surface to crack at the panel edges over time.
