The strips are retroreflective: they bounce back light from an external source (torch, camera flash, UV light) rather than emitting their own glow. In complete darkness with no light source they will not glow independently.
Machine washing is not recommended. The heat-bonded retroreflective tape can peel or bubble in a washing machine cycle or tumble dryer. Hand wash each piece separately in cold water with a mild detergent, then lay flat to dry.
The shorts waistband is structured and does not stretch much, so hip measurement is the key fit factor. The waistband fits hip circumferences of 80-100 cm. If you are between sizes or at the upper end of XL in hips, size up or check the detailed size chart before ordering.
The chest harness is adjustable enough to layer over a fitted crop top, thin mesh top, or directly on skin. The straps extend up to approx. 95 cm torso circumference, so wearing it over a thin underlayer is fully within the adjustment range for most sizes S-L.
